Reducing costs and increasing the performance of new products on the market can be achieved through a series of strategic and innovative actions that support the management of new projects. This study presents the research and development flow and process, applying cost reduction and sustainable appeal as the project's challenging barrier. From this, the purpose of the study was to develop a new RFID TAG (Radio Frequency Identification) model for application in retail, aiming to provide answers to this research question through technical analyses, prototypes and pilot batches on a larger production scale. With the development proposal, a cost reduction of approximately 13% was made possible compared to the product already available on the market.
