About the Journal

Focus and Scope

SaBios - Journal of Health and Biology is a quaterly scientific journal, provided by Centro Universitário Integrado. SaBios is devoted to publishing original scientific papers in all fields of Health and Biological Sciences.

Peer Review

The Advisory board of SaBios-Revista de Saúde e Biologia (SaBios-Journal of Health and Biology) of Faculdade Integrado de Campo Mourão (Integrado College from Campo Mourão) is formed by professionals from Brazil and abroad, who have knowledge and experience in related areas of each periodic. The Advisory board is in charge of revising articles written in the established terms of the journal. The articles to be revised will be previously selected by the Editorial Board and copies of them, will be headed to two members of the Advisory board, who will be responsible for analyzing, approving or refusing the articles. In case that there is divergence in the evaluations, an additional analysis will be carried out by a third Member of the Consulting board, to final considerations. The members of the Advisory board have thirty days to send articles already revised to the Editorial Board, which will resend the articles to authors for correction, if it is necessary. The publication order will be fixed by the Editorial Board, according to opportunity and convenience criteria, since the article has been approved by two Advisory Board members.

Open Access Policy

SaBios- Journal of Health and Biology provides public access to all its content and the absence of publication rates, following the principle that gratuitous access to research generates a better global interchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with an increase in reading and citation of an author’s article. For more information about this boarding, visit Public Knowledge Project, which has developed this system to improve academic and public quality of research, distributing the OJS as well as others softwares to support the publication system of public access to academic sources.

Statement by the Ethics Concils

When reporting experiments on human subjects, authors should indicate whether the procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation (institutional and national). The research involving on human subjects should be confidential as to individuals searched. Inform in the article the when the search to be published obtained consent from participants. When reporting experiments on animals, authors should be asked to indicate whether the institutional and national guide for the care and use of laboratory animals was followed.

Transparency

Editors of SaBios - Revista de Saúde e Biologia update readers about editorial decisions. Submission of manuscripts by SEER system ensures the access of authors to the evaluation process.

Scientific Publishing Ethics

SaBios - Revista de Saúde e Biologia acts in accordance with Ethical Principles in Scientific Publication, acting out to prevent irregularities in manuscripts accepted for publication.

Responsibility Term for Article’s Submission

The authors undertake that article sent for evaluation is unprecedented and that it will not be submitted to another journal during the review process and in case of publication is accepted. The article’s copyright, if it is published, are automatically transferred to SaBios - Revista de Saúde e Biologia which is authorized to publish it in printed, digital or other existing way, without financial reward to authors.

Authors

Authors are those who do have contributed to the development, execution or interpretation of the manuscript and they should be listed as authors. There is no justification for the inclusion of authors whose contribution does not meet previous criteria, and in this case, they should appear in "Acknowledgments" section.

Plagiarism

Authors should state that papers are original, and that they were not copied or plagiarized, completely or in part, from other articles. The authors must certify that the manuscripts are entirely original, except for parts that have been previously presented in congresses or related events.

Conflict of interests

Conflict of interests may occur when authors, reviewers and editors have benefits that may influence the development or evaluation of manuscripts. By submitting a manuscript, authors should acknowledge or divulge financial conflicts or others that may have influenced their scientific work. Authors should identify all financial support obtained during the execution of their work and other personal influences with regard to above. The revisor should report the editors on any conflict of interests that may influence the analysis of manuscript and should declare him/herself unqualified for this particular task.
